Historical Churches in England

The following pages are quick overviews of some of the ancient churches of England that I have had the pleasure of visiting with my husband, Doug, and a digital camera or two.  All pictures are either taken by me or Doug.  Maybe one of these days we’ll either revisit or digitize pictures from places we went to before digital cameras.

Escomb Saxon Church:  7th century

St. Peter and St. Paul’s at Chaldon:  around 1200; magnificent fresco on internal west wall.

St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s at Cranborne:  13th century, two trees (page under construction)
